FLT Proof Showdown

(I was tempted to call it a "smackdown" but I resisted, but still put that here. Did I ever say I was consistent?)

Ok, it's obvious by now that all the back and forth on the newsgroups isn't getting us anywhere.

I have a simple proposition.

I live in the Atlanta area here in the state of Georgia, which is part of the good 'ol United States of America.

There are several local universities near here with the proper facilities for me to talk to some of you directly (you know, they have a blackboard, preferably of the type where I don't have to use chalk).

I am willing to talk to anyone who wishes to object to my proof and explain it all in excruciating detail, and personally answer their objections.

You folks are the mathematicians, you have the contacts, and I know you like to get together to talk all the time, so I'm hoping one of you can set things up.

Being the person that I am, I've already contacted the media and invited TIME/CNN (they're a local bunch, MSNBC, and NEWSWEEK.

Of course, I'd also add the Atlanta Journal Constitution to that group.

I know that Chip Eastham is in the area and he's disagreed with the proof, so he could be one of the dissenters, if he chose to come on in.

Of course, any of the rest of you would be invited too, but I would ask that there be at least three or four other mathematicians who would just be there to listen and voice their opinions about the arguments.

I eagerly await a useful response.

The clock is ticking.

There's a dark side to all of this.

Either you're actually mathematicians or you're pretenders who are a disgrace to one of the greatest disciplines in the history of humanity.

All I'm asking for is a face to face.

The news people probably won't show anyway.

To them, I'm undoubtably a nut, and they believe what you've told them about Fermat's Last Theorem.

So, you have nothing to lose, and aren't you curious?

Who is this James Harris?

Would he dare show his face?

Don't you believe that you can face me, person to person?
